IF THE SNOWS BLOW ~ DON’T SHOW
Improvised Scene Work(shop)
• MONDAY FEB 11th •
Breathe, See, Hear, Taste, Touch, Smell, then React
“We did not have a full script. We had an anatomy. In this you had to have a lot of flexibility. Improvisational skills, listening to other people and sometimes certain things would happen in the script or the character would make a certain choice and you would have to figure out between rehearsal at 11 clock at night and shooting at 6 in the morn; how am I gonna commit to that choice? So it was almost a structure but also an openness to jumping into the void.” ~ Patricia Arquette talking about her work in BOYHOOD

“Patricia totally went for it. As an actress she doesn’t worry about anything other than being the character and not worrying about being likable or in any way of having to draw the audience in. She trusts that if you’re a human being and if you’re finding that person inside then people will see that.” ~ Ben Stiller (Director of Escape from Dannemora)
