MONDAY May 6th
• Improvised Scene Work •
“The world of the characters and their relationships is brought into existence by discussion and a great amount of improvisation … And research into anything and everything that will fill out the authenticity of the character…I’ll set up an improvisation, I’ll analyze and discuss it, we’ll do another, and I’ll refine and refine until the actions and dialogue are totally integrated.
Then we shoot it.”
~ Mike Leigh
This workshop you (2 actors) will build a scene. Pre chosen random physical actions will be incorporated into the scene, learned on the spot, then repeated 2-3 times. Story gets told. Relationship gets revealed.

“For the actor to be funny in general, whether in sitcoms, film, or theater, he must be dead serious. Comic acting is about taking an assumption or idea to its illogical conclusion.”
~ Harold Guskin
